Remote Access Help - TP Link Archer C7 Router

I’ve asked a question before here that was marked “answered” a bit prematurely, so I’ll try again!

Learning more about networking, I think I am missing a step that will enable the whole thing to come together.

My current setup is:
Comcast Xfinity ISP --> Arris SB6183 (modem) --> TP Link Archer C7 (router) --> Computer/PMS (via wifi).

I am running Comodo Internet Security Premium as my primary firewall. Windows firewall is disabled.

When I hit the “Retry” button under remote access it will flash green for a few seconds, then change back to red, “Not available Outside your Network”. Plex works on all my home devices (Roku, iPad) but I cannot get it to work for sharing my library with friends and family.
I have already added my computers IP as a reserved IP address in the router, and set up a port forward for port ‘32400’ under my private IP address, double checked Comodo has branded all Plex operations as ‘trusted’, and even disabled Comodo for a few attempts. Manually specifying the port ends in the same way - all without success.

Here are some photos of my Port Forwarding in the router settings, as well as what I see from PMS:

Canyouseeme.org says it can’t see port 32400 from my WAN IP. If I attempt to add my WAN IP in the router port forward setup, i get an error: “The IP address is not in the same subnet with LAN IP address.”

How can I get port 32400 forwarded through the WAN IP?
I can happily provide more photo’s If anyone needs them to help me out! I’ve been wrestling this issue for weeks!

Thanks for your time!

I FINALLY got it all working! It turns out the hardware wasn’t the issue, it was Comodo Firewall. In short, after switching the Firewall status from “Internet Security” to “Proactive Security” and forwarding the port through the firewall it all began to work.

I used this video tutorial and followed the steps from 2:00-8:00mins, and Allowed the port 32400 as a new Global rule - (my router was already forwarding the same port). After a computer reboot, the newly proactive security asked how to treat plex and I marked it as a “trusted application”. Soon after canyouseeme.org was able to see the port, and I could remotely access the server!

I hope this might have helped somebody out there in a similar predicament!
Cheers.

Hey Duck, sorry to necro this thread, but I’m trying to help someone get PMS working and they’re behind an Archer C7 as well. Do you have the SPI Firewall enabled or disabled in the router settings? Afaik the person I’m trying to help doesn’t have any firewall running outside of the firewall on the TP-Link but they still can’t get global access even with the Port Forwarding and stuff enabled.
