Remote access is continually disconnecting at seemingly random intervals

So like many others are seeing the PMS remote access is randomly disconnecting. I have been running PMS for years and over the last few months this has begun to happen. The temporary fix is easy, just disable remote access and the re-enable it. Problem is that is will just randomly disconnect again. This is very frustrating.

I have checked there is not double NAT situation and none of my routers have changed, same FiOS service as well. I have tried removing UPNP and manually port forwarding but this did not solve my issue so I put UPNP back on.

I looked at my server logs but I am not sure what entry I am looking for. I have attached them here, can anyone help me diagnose the cause of the problem? Thanks

Hello and welcome to the Plex forums.

In PlexWeb go to Settings \ Server \ Network \ Enable server support for IPv6 and turn that off. Then try setting up manual port forwarding again.

thank you, that helped me. turned IPv6 on, then off, turned on manual port, then off again. All working (for now)

It is still occuring for me. I love Plex but this is starting to really get annoying. I hope they fix it soon.

New logs attached. Please help

Someone needs to fix this ■■■■. Its getting frustrating.

Im able to remote access my garage anytime, but plex? Seems to gave to be reset every 2 hours.

I think it’s a temporary outage of a part of Plex’s system - namely plex.tv - as seen here: https://status.plex.tv/ that is causing these remote connection problems.

I think they are working on a fix.

I would suggest the same thing. Turn off UPnP and setup a manual port forward.
