Remote Access issues after PMS update 1.18.1.1973

Server Version#: 1.18.1.1973

Hello,
Recently I updated my FreeNAS PLEX plugin to 1.18.1.1973. After the update- remote access has been dropping out. Sometimes disabling remote access and re-enabling it seems to fix the issue for a little while. I manually specified the port (32400) and checked port forwarding configs on my router. This issue has never happened to me before and everything looks correct. Remote Access disconnects seem to occur at random times throughout the day. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with version 1.18.1.1973? If so- will there be a fix action to mitigate this problem? Thanks in advance!

I have the exact same issue at my setup. I am running the server on MacOS, but the same error as you have. My case is here: External access problems

Thank you so much for your help. Has to be an issue with the version of PLEX. Hopefully they roll out an update.

Same here with Official Plex Docker running on unRaid. Down at least twice yesterday (notified by users unable to connect) and twice already today (re-enabled Tautulli notifications on Access Down).

I still have the issue, after I did a manuel update of the Plex Server. But after reading alot of threads at my ISP’s website, I found that they suddenly have implemented CGNAT which means my IP and my routers IP’s not are the same. That could mess of the whole setup.
I have asked for stativ IP now, hopefully it will fix it.

I will keep you posted.

Same issue here, although I updated to the 1.18.2.2015 version on My Synology NAS. Worked fine until the update, can’t get it working afterwards.
It sometimes connects for 5 seconds and then disconnects again.
Nothing changed in my network setup.

I will try a downgrade (the hard way)

Hi again. Just got a static IP from my ISP and now I am up running. They have suddenly changed to CGNAT which was causing the issue. I am up running again now.

I was able to fix it, using the DMZ setting of my modem to my router (DD-WRT).
I recommend testing with a port tester. I used http://www.ipv6scanner.com/ to test the access to my Plex. It turned out the firewall was blocking the access to the port (connection dropped) After adjusting the port forwarding everything worked again.
