Remote access issues

Hello All,

I had remote access working until a couple of months ago. I travel a lot for work and really need this to work. Here are screen shots of my Plex dashboard and of the settings in my router (inside of my Ubee modem/router from Time Warner/Spectrum). Any suggestions on what might be going on? I have turned the firewall off in the modem too.

Sorry, I posted the same attachment twice. Here is my modem setttings.

I had this happen a couple of months ago. Windows 10 ran an update and my windows firewall was blocking it. I spent several hours playing with my router . Results was to create a rule to allow all plex applications in the firewall app section.

What is your latest version, when did you last update. i just updated to Version 1.8.2.4209 and Remote access stop working. I then uninstalled plex and reinstalled with earlier version 1.8.1.4139 (C:\Users**Your USER Name Folder ***\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Updates and now remote access is working again.

Try ticking the check-box to the left of ‘specify manually’ and let it stand at 32400. Then change the External part on your Forward setting to 32400 (from 22918).

Exactly you’ve specified a non standard port in your router but you haven’t told Plex.

Either use 32400 remotely or manually specify 22918.

Also by way of advice it’s probably not wise to disclose on a public forum that you have turned off your firewall and displaying your public IP address and internal IP address.

Hi I’m having the same problem. I’m running version 1.8.1.4139 & when I look at my Windows settings it show that Plex is on the app allowed on the firewall? I’m been having this problem since I got plex with these guys. Idk much about networking. I called Spectrum & the lady said that “she needs to know which port to open.” Also Idk how to get into my router to check on the port number. Any help would be welcome. Thanks
