Remote Access Issues

you need to replace externalIP with your actual externalIP of your network. sorry I should have been more clear.

in the servers remote access settings it will be the ip that shows as “public”. or while your phone or a computer is on your home wifi search google for “what is my IP” and it will tell you.

you likely have a DNS issue as well. I would change the DNS setting in your router to be Googles DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

I was able to access the site with my public ip. But it still shows that I have no remote access.

I also tried again with new DNS. But it still shows no remote Access.

I will try again on my PS5 as well and see if it is fixed. But from initial findings, it doesn’t look good.

Any idea on my PS5 on how I should access

Same issue here. Still not working?

@BigWheel What is the next step of diagnosis from this point? I’m trying to set up a new server and this is where I’m stuck. I’ve put client, server, and both routers on Google DNS, flushed caches and waited overnight as well. Is this out of our hands now?
Thanks.

I think it is. But they choose to blame the user. It is extremely frustrating

In fairness, he didn’t blame you, he just ghosted the thread as soon as the onus went to Plex. lol
I’m going to try using my own certificate and DDNS when I get time. I know the feature exists because their are fields in the settings, but I’m afraid it’s not even functional code and I will have dumped more time into a dead end.

I use Docker anyway so I just used a reverse proxy and my own certificate. Seems okay.
Linuxserver.io Plex and “SWAG” images, if you are interested.
