Remote Access keeps disconnecting

made another test… delete registry plex … uninstall plex … clean install… no shares … nothing… sign in in my account… sarted up remote access… and let the program stay running with no one wathing … after a few minutes the remote access turned off … so must be the pms server latest versions that had this bug… because with fresh install … no one watching the remote access logs off… so must be some comunication with the plex media server to the server of the plex.tv… i test everything and this version really needs a fix… im not the only one complaining and would like that the devs resolve this issue… think im going to send a private message to elan to explain this problem… i think he already should be aware of it…

The problem is being looked into

The issue is that if a failure happens for a connectivity test from plex.tv to the server then after that it does not recover. So this will get fixed but the original glitch / failure could be transient network issues

Actually having the Remote Access screen on display increases the chances of failure because it keeps on doing connectivity tests !

Today i almost have 100% sure That the problem os from plex media server… Yesterday installed pms server in a new computer… Only added 2 movies and make Only onde share(myne)… Fresh install… No problems with ports… Isp… Nothing… Only i was testing outside My home with iPhone… And puff… Remote access down again… I have 400megas internet… So the problem is really from this version… Hoppe the devs are aware of this because this must be the worst problem i encontered in plex since 2012 when i became a plex life pass… Só really hopping they get this fixed soon… No more tests for me to do… I do anything i can… Now its up to you…

I appreciate all the help you have provided - hopefully a fix will come soon

Is this with automatic uPnP port configuration or Manually Specified Port and a Port Forward in the router?

Manually… Port forwarding 32400

Thanks - do you leave a plex web screen open on the Settings / Server / Remote Access page all the time?

No… I leave the app Only running… Not open…

I Only use Windows… But in Linux same problem? Right? I was searching in the Linux fóruns and people was conplainning só…

sorry did you delete the other server ? you already had the main server on public port 32400 - so this new test server would need to be on different wan port forwarding to 32400
eg WAN Port 32410 forwarded to LAN port 32400 for the new test server DHCP Reserved/Static IP Address

Like this?

yes and manually specify port to have 32410 in the box

A change to plex.tv has just gone live which should stop a network glitch or single connection test failure cause loss of published state.

Could you test with full debug logging and restart server for test.

But i cant now.. I formated My pc and im installing all Over again.. But tomorrow i can do that for you… Here i put 32410 right?

Full debug is log and verbose?

yes - tick the box and enter 32410

verbose did not add any value - just debug

Ok… Tomorrow i do that…

i am hoping the issue is fixed now

going to sleep now - it is after 2am

But the fix they send live today its to work this way? Or its for the normal settings with the port forward 32400 and tick 32400 on the box?

Its about time everything backs to normal… Plex is an awesome app… Tomorrow we do some tests… And we stay in touch… Thank you for all the attention…
