Hi tried all ideas to get remote connection to stay enabled, yet again trying to use Plex for my media and does not work LOL
Any help would be appreciated

are you double NATed?
Can you get us the Logs ZIP file ?
(Either download from Plex or make a ZIP file of the “Logs” directory in FileStation)
I have 3 routers 2 are in bridge mode
not sure why you want a log file its private?
I asked for logs because you asked for help.
It is impossible to know what is happening with your remote access without seeing the log files.
Even with the logs, the logs might or might not catch the actual disconnect.
If you are referring to:
- Enable Remote Access
- Indicator turns Green
- A few seconds later – turns Red
Then this is normal behavior which indicates PMS tried (initial green) to open Remote Access but the reply from Plex.tv (which confirms if the port is open) returned FAIL.
At this point, the logs will show us:
- The LAN IP
- The WAN IP the server thinks it has
- We are able to see the WAN IP the server requested the Remote Access test from.
These three pieces help us understand where the problem is and how to correct it.
I can extend a PM to you for your logs if you wish to keep them private.
same problem here… made no changes, no updates, no double NAT.

/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library/Plex media Server

tatsächlich hab ich das mit dem synology überlesen, war ja schon froh was zu dem problem gefunden zu haben. also schonmal danke für deine hilfe

Plex versucht zu oft sich mit Plex.tv verbinden.
Plex.tv gab ‘422’ fehler.

Du muss fur 30-60 Minuten Plex halten.
Danach Plex wieder starten.

ok, hab den plex dienst jetzt auf dem nas gestoppt.
und wart ne stunde.
über die URL komm ich ja drauf, nur der fernzugriff lässt sich nicht halten.
und wie kommts dazu? gestern abend noch ganz normal geguckt und heut von der arbeit gekommen… war es kaputt
Wenn du einen eingerichteten Fernzugriff haben und dieser plötzlich fehlschlägt, zuerst das Modem/den Router überprüfen.
Hat es ein Firmware-Update erhalten und über Nacht ohne Ihr Wissen neu gestartet?

Router habe ich schon neugestartet, ist eine fritzbox.
Das nas ist mit selbständiger portfreigabe eingetragen.
Wenn es gleich nicht geht, werde ich nochmal versuchen manuell ports einzutragen
Ich würde an dieser Stelle eine manuelle Portweiterleitung empfehlen.
ok, ich glaube ich habe den fehler gefunden. mein anbieter schickt mich plötzlich durch einen DS-Lite tunnel. das problem hatte ich vor 3 jahren schonmal mit nem anderen anbieter.
plex funktioniert scheinbar nur mit nativer ipv4 adresse, oder gibt es einen weg das auch mit ds-lite an’s laufen zu kriegen?
damals hatte ich genau das gleiche problem, normalerweise lässt sich das mit einem anruf klären bzw. wieder umstellen.
Leider wird Plex nicht funktionieren mit IPv6
