Unifi Express Cloud Gateway Unifi OS version 4.0.12
Hi, I tried all I could think of to get the port forwarding to work and I still cannot get my gateway and Plex server to let me connect remotly.
In my gateway I told it to let port 32400 communicatre with WAN and still not hapening. The only way I can connect is thru the relay but it’s not reliable and fast enough.
Has anyone got a Unifi gateway to work with a Plex server so far? If so how did you get it to work?
My UPNP is ON and I have got :
NAT Port Mapping Protocol ON
Secured Mode OFF
My Default Network is selected also.
thx for the help!
Disable both of these.
Create a static port forward in the Unifi Network application which looks something like this:
For WAN Port, you can set any unprivileged port (that is, above 1024). But the general recommendation is to stick to those above 32000 or so. Make a note of the port you set here.
For Forward IP Address, enter the IP address of your Plex Media Server’s local IP address (mine is 10.10.0.103, so that’s what I have entered). The Forward Port must be 32400. For Protocol, use just TCP.
In. your Plex server’s Settings → Remote Access settings, enable the check box for “Manually specify public port” and enter the same port number as you did above as your WAN Port in Unifi. Then save your changes.
If you still have issues, please include screenshots of your Unifi port forward configuration for Plex.
