So i have plex port forwarded on 32400 and a static ip and when i hit retry button it works or turns green for a sec then goes red and says dont work. I have verfired all settings in plex and router so im lost and cant figure why wont stay green when hit retry so can have remote access. Any help would be great.
Turn off uPnP on your router then test http://canyouseeme.org/
It could be just the status indicator on the settings page for remote access
we do have some timing issues which could lead to false status showing
If you leave it without touching any buttons and then 30 seconds or more later just refresh the browser - it might correct itself
A reboot may correct it as well
You can test if it is just the status indicator by disabling wifi on one of your mobile devices and try to access the server through the plex mobile app
so this morning i went to computer and shows works but i also turned off the firewall. Works great now.
