Remote Access Not Working

Server Version#:
Player Version#:

I know, SHOCKING right. And I’m almost at my wits end and done with Plex. It has been working absolutely fine so a very long time, but now it simply will not stay connected for remote access, and whenever it does manage to do so, it is always an indirect connection. And it is absolutely infuriating, and will continue to be so because I’m a technical PLEB to the point I feel like when ever I read threads and forums about the same problem, I don’t understand any of what is being relayed via replies. Do this, do that, jargon that I can’t get my head around. I’m at a loss for what to do to solve this issue. I’m such a technical remedial that I don’t even know where to find the player or server versions. So frustrating when it used to work fine.

Same issue here. VERY Frustrating! This has been happening for quite sometime at my end. Not sure why the folks at plex are not addressing this matter.

I am also having the same issue, plex updates have been horrible for the last 2 years, i paid for a plex pass and i would pay again every few years if it meant they would address these issues or issue a fix more promptly.
the best advice i can give to anyone reading this is, move plex into a VM, and make frequent backups to preserve painstaking collections setup and library changes. when plex gets ■■■■■■ by a bad update that shouldn’t have been released, you can roll back.
this is not a good solution and not everyone can implement it though.

if any member of the plex team is reading this, please do communicate to the team leads to step up and at least announce that the problem is known and being worked on. Maybe put a rollback to last known good config option. Im pretty sure no one here, paying for the license cares about the “fremium content” that seems to be the product focus of late vs a stable and reliable platform that breaks on every other update.
