I’m having a problem trying to use remote access after the latest Synology and PMS releases,:
Plex -> Server -> Settings -> Remote Access says “Not available outside your network”. When I click the RETRY button next to the “Manually specify public port” (set to 32400), remote access flashes to “Fully available outside your network” for a second and then back to “Not available outside your network”.
Interestingly, when I try to connect using my laptop when outside my home wifi, it connects to the Diskstation ok, despite the “Not available outside your network” message.
However, when I try to connect outside of home wifi using an iPhone or an iPad, those devices only let me put the pin in but aren’t able to connect to the Diskstation.
Connecting to Diskstation using PMS on my local network continues to work great on all devices.
I have a Synology DS415play with DSM 6.1.3-15152, and PMS is running 1.9.3.4290
Port Forward - 32400 confirmed open on http://www.canyouseeme.org/
I’ve tried removing Plex from the Package Center and then re-installing, no change.
The iPhone and iPad are running the current versions of the Plex apps. I’ve removed and re-installed these apps too.
Any suggestions?
