I have manually changed the remote access port to 8080 and can no longer connect to my Plex server to change it back. How can I fix this? I tried uninstall and reinstall and it did not fix.
Check to see if another app is using that port
Nothing Else is on that port that I can see when I do a netstat.
I would like to change it back so it works, is there a registry setting or a file I can edit? I can only see my friends server now when I login to plex.tv so how can I reconfigure mine or get it back to defaults?
you can’t change the local port, only the remote port. locally on you lan you will always access plex on port 32400
Locally you should still be able to access it at localIP:32400/web as @BobSnot says
yes. exit the the server so it is not running. go into the registry setting for Plex and edit the ManualPortMappingPort value to whatever is needs to be. when you start the server back up it should use that port.
