So I recently updated my server (running on Win10 22H2) to 1.40.0.7998 and my server promptly disappeared. Inaccessible by all users, regardless of player or platform, even from the local machine running the server. After a week and a half, I finally was able to figure out why via a “netstat -anob” command, which revealed that for some reason, Plex had decided to switch its internal port from 32400 to 32401. This at least explained why trying to access my server at http://127.0.0.1:32400/web kept failing, and finally allowed my to get into my server locally by going to http://127.0.0.1:32401/web instead. However, I am having trouble restoring remote access to the server despite forwarding port 32401 on my router as well; and I am also under the impression that Plex switching the internal access port isn’t ever supposed to happen. How can I fix this so that Plex either goes back to 32400 internally or somehow else allows me to connect remotely again? Additionally, if anyone has any idea why this might have happened, I’d love to know so I can try to prevent it happening again. Many thanks in advance.
