Remote access setting is successful but I can't remote access

Server Version#: Version 4.34.4
Player Version#:?

I setup Plex for remote access manually.

  • Setup server to use static ip within.
  • On the router, forwarded the port 32400.
  • Enable remote access, which indicate it’s successful.

However, when I attempt to access it from my phone through the cellular network, it said access is not available.

Any ideas on how to debug this?

Are you still having this issue? I keep getting and then losing remote access. This used to work solidly. I am wondering if it is a windows issue or Plex.

For the last week I’m having the same issue. I can click RETRY and it will successfully connect and then a minute later it disconnects. I just had a Plex update and it seems to have coincided with the new security features. I can’t get a secure connection, so I tell it to allow insecure. But I can’t keep remote access enabled now.

I am having the same issue. Plex says " Fully accessible outside your network" but i can not access any content outside my network. What’s most interesting to me is i can (not every time) see the latest movie i’ve added but can’t actually browse or watch anything. No posters load. Just the title. Plex was rock solid until this.

I am having the same issue. Started about a month ago.

Been having this issue since October, still can’t seem to fix it…

Did you get this figured out? My remote access is also continually cutting out…

I’ve lost remote access in the last two days. I’ve power cycled server and router, updated router firmware, removed and re-added port forwarding.
Plex dashboard says “Fully accessible outside your network” but can’t get to it via apps, web.

Disabling server support for IPv6 (Setting- Network) seems to have cured it
