I suspect from the other threads on this subject (New update (Version 1.13.5.5332) causing failed remote access) (REMOTE ACCESS SOLUTION? Release old version of Plex Server?) that we might be looking at a Plex Server issue directly.
It appears as though when a client tries to connect to a user’s Plex Server, the traffic is directed to Plex HQ, then re-directs the user to the host. The problem with that is Plex HQ is essentially 'man-in-the-middle’ing us and not allowing for direct connections.
Are there any Plex personnel on these forums that can help clear this up?
[editing to add]: This thread: Plex Server version 1.13.5.5332 on QNAP causes Remote Access to cease seems to be getting some good info on workaround (looks like loading an earlier version might be the way, but in my case I found out that there was a newer version available via the website that my server didn’t see in its upgrade path).
