Yesterday my remote access stopped from nowhere. Was going to see next episode of a show when i from nowhere saw that my librarys couldent connect securly.
Havent changed anything in firewall
havent changed anything server or network wise.
Been working for months (years)
Now ive tried changing port, Using standard port, enable disable remote access etc etc.
Have no clue what to do anymore =(
When trying to enable it shows green but as soon as i change to another topic it goes red.
Having the exact same issue, also out of nowhere. Was watching things last night no problem, woke up this morning and remote access is showing the exact same behavior. Local connections are requiring insecure connections as well. Seems to be an issue with the Plex service - I haven’t been able to find any cause/solution on my end.
Edit: Port configurations and results from canyouseeme.org are attached below. All is configured correctly, and can be accessed by going to the IP:Port manually. However remote access is not working. Seems to be an issue with the service.
Likewise, Plex was all well and good, up until I updated to 1.25.1.5286. Now, I cannot access any content outside my local network. Plex seems to think the connection is good with, " Fully accessible outside your network", but there is absolutely no way to reach the servers (I have one running on a PC and another on my Synology DS1520). Things were fine up until the update, which I performed on 12/11/21, but since then there is no way to reach the servers. I have verified that neither of the servers settings had changed, both are using UPnP, both indicate they are supposedly Fully accessible, and also tried switching to a manual config w/ Port forwarding for giggles. Also manually remotely scanned / probed the ports on my servers and they are reachable from outside. It seems like the Plex service on the outside is no longer maintaining / advertising the IP/Port forwards since this update. Really appears like they totally borked something on their end.
@jonnyatlas Thanks for the tip; however, they pushed a new update ( 1.25.2.5319) today and that seemed to do the trick. Strange how things went awry with that last update and suddenly with this update all is better? I didn’t see anything in the changelog that would indicate they corrected anything having to do with remote access. Heck, I tried everything from reboots to full network analysis and couldn’t seen to get Plex.tx to see either of my servers. In any case it they are behaving now, but if I find the root cause, will let you all know.
