Remote access suddenly won't stay connected

Server Version#: 1.42.2.10156
Player Version#: 4.147.1

I have been operating a Plex server on my Raspberry Pi for some time, including a Plex Pass subscription. Remote access has functioned reliably until recently, but it has suddenly ceased to work.

The connection persists for a few seconds before disconnecting again. What could be the underlying cause?

Even after I changed my pw (because of the breach) it worked - till yesterday. Read almost everything possible, but I still can’t access it.

Desperately, I even installed everything fresh on my raspi.

Consider it’s not working to begin with. Plex takes an optimistic approach, displaying the remote access status as green while it’s still testing the connection.

Did you already have a look at the related troubleshooting support article?

There’s also a guide with some more details on how to troubleshoot remote access issues:

Thank you for your help. I took a look at the thread and noticed the following:

I know I’ve been working on this problem since yesterday evening and have already looked at all the support pages.

But to be honest, I’m stuck when it comes to advanced router settings. I already have a fixed IP and port forwarding, which has always worked.

I’m referring to your thread:(1): Yes, yes, VPN is turned off.

(2): No idea what “bridge mode” is… I have a FritzBox extender, but I’ve had it for a long time. I host Plex on a RaspberryPi, everything is standard.

(3): I tried that but without success. I may have to contact my ISP. I really hope that it works again.

I had trouble at one point with my ISP and my open ports. I created a powershell script to do some simple connection tests. It might point out something. It’s a little technical, but should run on any windows system.

Thank you for your help - but this is far toooo much for me…

I paid quiet some money for plex pass - looks like I have to save some more to afford a PhD in IT…
