Remote access to server is always indirect and I don't have access to router/modem

Server Version#: 1.19.1.2645
Player Version#: 4.22.3

I can’t access my plex server remotly (direct) since I moved to my new appartment. The appartement already has two network connections set up and I unfortunatly don’t have access to any router/modem. I thought about double NAT issues but it seems to be something else.

Thanks.

No, I’m pretty sure it is exactly that.
And there is unfortunately nothing you can do, if you cannot access the router(s).

However I did a traceroute to see the path and it only showed: private ip — public ip in the first two hops. My assumption was there should be 2 private ip before the public one in case of double NAT. I’m just trying to confirm if this is double NAT related because if it is I know I can’t really do anything.
Thank you.

All you need to do is log into your own router (I assume you have your own router you connected to one of these two ports in your apartment) and check what it is reading as it’s Internet (WAN) IP. If it’s a private IP address then you have double-NAT.

If you’re really connecting to a single large network in your building, the issue is likely port forwarding on their router, which you can’t really fix. Is Plex indicating remote access status as fine?
