My NAS holds my Plex libraries and in the last 7-10 days became unavailable outside my home LAN. Up until then it’s worked without a hitch.
If I click the retry button it will change the status to green to say “Fully accessible outside your network”. If I go to another menu item and come back it’s reverted back to red/“Not available outside your network”.
UPNP is on on my router (Virgin Media Hub3) which I’ve disabled and reenabled and I see the new ports reconfigure on the router, but my Synology Plex is still unavailable.
I tried manually configuring a port and get the same result.
I tested with canyousee me and I can see the ports are open when both UPNP and manual port selection. " Success Your ISP is not blocking port nnnnn"
I can access my NAS DSM externally plus I have a (backup) PLEX install on a small Win7 PC that I rarely use which is the same Plex version and I CAN access that outside the LAN, so the router is ok and Plex authentication via my ISP is ok, it’s something local to the NAS version that’s not right.
Plex hadn’t updated in about a month and I don’t think my DSM has updated in a few months.
I’ve since installed the latest versions on both Win10 Plex and the NAS plex and get the same results.
Nas plex no access
Win10 test plex ok
The Synology NAS doesn’t have Firewall enabled, so there shouldn’t be anything preventing access to the server.
