Synology Plex issues with remote access?

I installed the latest Plex server yesterday and noticed today that the server was no longer accessible externally (also verified with phone). I got it to work again by manually specifying the port and forwarding it in the router. Are there any changes/known issues with external access with the latest release? External access has worked without issues for me for several years until now without having to manually forward ports, and the hardware setup is unchanged.

PMS didn’t change but also verify DSM didn’t update (Synology effects firewall changes)

It’s probably a good idea to log into the Syno using the web browser and confirm what Plex/web is showing you in Settings - Server - General.

I checked on the Synology local Plex UI (as opposed to app.plex.tv) as well and it shows the same issues when I disable port forwarding in the router. I manually run Synology updates and don’t think there was one very recently, but I will take a look there as well, thank you for pointing that out.

Anyway, it works with port forwarding at the moment, was just curious whether anything changed. Thanks again!
