Remote Access Unavailable After Update

PLEX is definitely the problem here.

I have reset everything.
I have changed out my modem today with service provider.
I have setup manual Port Forwarding exactly as per instructions.
I have checked that port is not blocked by ISP.

… and nothing had been done prior to this suddenly stopping working.

Remote access is the ONLY reason I paid for a lifetime PLEX Pass!!

Devs??

Hey all, I was having the same exact problem, it didnt make sense to me. I had just finished migrating Plex from win10 to a docker container. Everything was working fine yesterday on windows… but today, 1st day being on docker it remote access was not working, no matter what knobs I toggled on my FW. Anyway, I just updated the container to the latest Version 1.16.0.1226 (P Version 3.95.2) and bam! Everything is back to working normal again. Good luck.

Thanks gmight for your reply! :+1:

Unfortunately; that was on of the FIRST things I tried in my initial troubleshooting… (hadn’t updated or done anything prior to the fault; and saw the new update available so gave that a go… ) also checked for any updates on the various players - but they were all up to date.

Not sure if this will work for anyone else, but I went to Settings->Network and changed Secure Connections from “Preferred” to “Never,” then waited a few minutes, and switch it back to preferred, and remote access started working again. Not sure what the problem was, but mine seems to be working again… for now.

Didn’t work for me.
… it was worth a shot anyway!

Seriously, when are Plex going to address this issue - it’s happening to a hell of a lot of people - and from my reading this problem was known a year ago.

Yet silent from Plex. Good luck getting me to part with my money for a plex pass.

Emby here i come!

Any response from the plex guys? would like to know if you even accept the issue has been caused in the recent update. Mine was working fine previously.

Yeah- this is getting ridiculous. We paid for this feature (some like me ONLY FOR this feature).
Can we get some attention, please?

Just wanted to say it’s affected my setup also. Recently switched from bare metal to docker. Was working fine for a bit but remote connection recently started acting up. Was running the official image but tried the linuxserver.io image with no change either. Toggled everything I could think of. Firewall rules haven’t changed. It’s frustrating that it’s a problem I can’t fix from my end.

Add me to the list. This is the second time I’ve had this issue - the last time was two Plex updates ago. I’ve double checked everything on my end and all is good. This is unacceptable and I am now beginning to search for Plex alternatives.

Same problem here…any help from Plex Support?

PLEX support?

…IS there such a thing?

I have the same issue since last update…
Has anyone solved it?

Some news??

Following because…ya know, same here.

I could not remote access via Firefox on my phone or the app after the Firefox attempt, also could not log into this forum. Switched to Chrome and all logins worked. Firefox must be supported, need to stress that

These guys are obviously aware of a problem with their service and are deliberately stonewalling us all.

Don’t want to admit the main feature of their premium service isn’t working - lest they discourage new business from customers ponying-up money for said fictional services.

What other software product/service would you pay for today - without having any user support to address issues to ensure that paid service IS working??
