Remote access unavailable on Synology DS218+

I’ve recently had to wipe the drives in my Synology DS218+ and start over. Before rebuilding the NAS and reinstalling PleX, I had no trouble with remote access. It worked beautifully. Since I reinstalled PleX, remote access hasn’t been available at all, no matter what I try.

  • Disabled iPv6
  • Manually specified the port
  • Restarted router
  • Restarted NAS
  • Restarted PMS

All of this was searching both this forum and the internet in general. Nothing has worked.

Any other suggestions for resolving this?

I tried all of this and it’s accessible for a few seconds, then it changes back to “Not available outside your network”.

Yes. From my mobile network, my office network, VPN in several places around the world. On my iPhone, iPad, and laptop.

Well, the problem is clearly with PleX. This all worked before I had to reinstall the server and moved to the version mentioned above. There have been no changes to my ISP.

Being a moderator, I’m surprised at your tone. Especially when a Plex Pass user is frustrated. The fact that you didn’t even ask for my logs shows how much you care to help.
