Remote access upload been with capped at 13Mbps

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3830
Player Version#: 4.29.2

A friend and I have been testing the remote access and no matter what settings or options we select we’re both hitting a 13Mbps cap. The server and client we are both using is set to maximum and/or original (no limit). I’ve tried everything that I have seen suggested on the forums and a google search. Not sure what settings I am missing but it’s behaving like there is a limit set regardless of the options selected so almost everything buffers constantly. I’m hoping somebody can help narrow down anything that we may be overlooking. Thanks in advance :slightly_smiling_face:

Assuming the PMS is hosted in your home network… what’s your internet upload speed? That’s the maximum bandwidth available when streaming outside your home network.

Both of us have gig fiber up and down.

The only limit from Plex side I’m aware of applies to indirect/relayed connections (limited to 1 Mbps for regular, 2 Mbps for Plex Pass users). That’s certainly not what you’re dealing with.

Are you using a VPN that’ll only give you a limited throughput?
Otherwise you might want to contact your ISP if they block/throttle certain traffic?!

I’m following this, because I too have noticed this recently. And it’s right around the same speed. I have gigabit up and down, but everything seems to cap around the same speed at the OP.

I managed to fix this by doing a Windows refresh. No idea why I needed to do that but it worked
