I can see and play all videos and music files on my phone plex app if I am connected to my home wifi network, but as soon as i turn off my phone wifi, i am unable to view videos, but i can still listen to music files. The video just spins and never starts. No error.
I checked my Remote Access in the Plex Server settings and it is enabled and has a green checkbox next to it. I am able to put in the IP and port number that is shown in canyouseeme.org and it is able to resolve it fine. Any suggestions?
Any bandwidth limits (e.g. in the advanced options in Settings > [Server Name] > Remote Access or the actual ISP internet upload speed)?
What value have you set on your mobile for the remote streaming quality option?
Is your server configured to allow transcoding video streams (Settings > [Server Name] > Disable video stream transcoding is unchecked)?
I have an update to this issue. I was able to watch a “small” video (8 minutes) on my phone with the phone wifi turned off successfully.
Also, i found out that if i try to watch anything longer than that, after about 5-10 minutes of loading, the video starts, I hear the audio, but I only see a black screen.
