Remote access with ASUS RT-N66R

Not sure why this is getting so complilcated for me. I’ve been running plex remotely for quite a long while. I have updated my HTPC however. I can not figure out how to get it to allow me to play stuff remotely.

So I am on charter/spectrum cable modem with an ASUS RT-N66R router connected to it. I have never touched the cable modem and it’s not broadcasting a wifi network. I’m thinking it must be something in my router settings.

I need some help in what I’m doing wrong. Some things I’m seeing:

I can enable remote and I get the green check like it is available but it’s not. And inevitably the green check turns off on its own. Sometimes it takes awhile, sometimes it happens immediately.

So… anyone familiar with Plex and this router? I’m running plex server on a windows 10 htpc.

Nevermind. I found it. Secure Connections was set to disabled. :slight_smile: Duh
