Every time I update my Plex software I loose the ability of remote access despite having a Plex Pass subscription. Is there any way of stopping this from happening? I have previously managed to get remote access back after losing it but can’t remember how. I have tried disabling and re enabling, logging out and then back in and even rebooting but to no avail. Can anyone help please?
Set a static IP on your server, configure a manual port forward in your router to said static IP, turn off UPNP completely if you haven’t got anything else relying on it - and remember to tick that little checkbox to the left of port settings in Plex!

Manual port forward is the way to go.
UPnP is junk.
I have now found that, when I have this problem, rebooting the router solves the problem.
