I am having a issue with remote access. I have followed the troubleshooting steps, not a firewall issue, even setup up port forwarding but still no access. when trying to view my library remotely, its says the pc that is running the server is offline. I had some issues with network sharing with some files between pc to pc and couldnt figure it out so geek squad remotely logged in to fix but nout sure if they did something to cause Plex remote access to not work. It did work before this, actaully without having to port forward when I first installed plex server. I am hoping someone could help as to what could be the issue. It will connect and have remote acces for about 5 seconds, then say not available outside your network.
Also, I know this is not a question related to this issue but after geek squad did their thing, when playing a movie on fire tv stick, inside my network, got a message saying that i would be indirectly connected. How do I connect back directly? I did a little research and didnt find anywhere on how to tell if im connected direectly to the server or not.
Update
I found in settings in plex under my server name, it says indirect. So I went into network, secure connections and changed to preferred but when I click on save, it says my changes could not be saved. Please help
