I have recently set up my Linux machine as a PMS and got the Library all setup and running. I can play the media fine on my local network and want to make the media available to my daughter. I clicked on Remote Access and the it turned green. However, after a short while it went back to say, Remote Access is not available outside my network.
I would appreciate some advise on what are the optimal settings. Many thanks
The remote access going green initially is a red herring. It will always go green after you make a change, while Plex is actually checking the access. Once the check is complete it correctly changes to red. It is not actually briefly working and then stopping.
