This issue has been ongoing for the past month. The remote connection lasts for a couple of seconds before dropping out.
I’ve checked for double NAT, though the IP address for shown in Plex matches that from What Is My IP Address. All the same I’ve tried disabling the NAT on the modem with no change.
I’ve disabled Avast Anti-virus software and my VPN, none of witch makes a difference.
Port forwarding is set in the modem-router and is confirmed as open using CanYouSeeMe.org.
tried with the system firewall on and off - no difference.
