Remote connection "Indirect"

okay so what gives? Everything was working great, so I figured, why not, and purchased a lifetime plex pass…

Literally right after purchasing my plex connection now says “not available outside of your network.”

The only thing I can think was I turned on an old computer that still had plex server running so there were 2 instances of plex server running at the same time on different machines.

I have since uninstalled it from one of the machines. Could it be that plex disabled it on their end after seeing two machines?

Not sure what’s going on, but my plex is completely not accessible. The router settings haven’t been changed

It would only be an issue if the other server had the same public port and if the old server is seen on that port then the other server may get removed at the plex.tv end and to recover would need to switch this added server to different public port and then sign it out and in and and disable and enable remote access and then bring in the other server and go through sign out in server settings and sign in / claim and disable and enable remote access

For two servers on same network the following are examples of how you setup if ports are selected manually

PMS1
In router ensure local IP address is dhcp reserved
Or set it as static within the subnet but outside dhcp range
Setup port forward of public port eg 32410 to local port 32400 to PMS1 local IP
In server advanced setting for remote access tick manually specify port and enter 32410

PMS2
In router ensure local IP address is dhcp reserved
Or set it as static within the subnet but outside dhcp range
Setup port forward of public port eg 32420 to local port 32400 to PMS2 local IP
In server advanced setting for remote access tick manually specify port and enter 32420

Both port forward to local port 32400 but have different wan public ports
