I’m going nuts people, I’m running my Plex server on my nvidia shield, and I use my android phone using the app to stream movies . I Never had a problem with this setup in the past but somehow it stopped working a few weeks ago, and I can’t seem to figure out what’s going on.
Remote connection is Fully accessible outside your network" I enabled “Manually specify public port” and I have setup fort forwarding in my router.
On local wifi everything is working fine. Both the app and webapp play movies just fine.
Outside my local network the webapp plays the movie but the app is giving me problems telling me that it cant find the server, cannot connect securely, or starts the video playing a black screen with only audio. Using VLC as an external player works and it plays the video fine.
what’s going on? this is driving me nuts Please help
