Remote playback issues

Hi there having a similar issue. Seems my app won’t show a movie as playing but on the dashboard it is. Also my dad can’t play movies on his device even through the web browser. When he presses play it pauses and plays continuosly. Tried adjusting the transcoder and everything and still no joy

What app (platform, version)?
What version of PMS (also, on what platform)?

Is this consistent for all attempts to play videos or just specific ones?
Any details on the media?

Do you experience the same or is this just an issue you see with your dad while watching something remotely?

Android app version 2025.15.0
issue appears intermittent sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Most occasions it’ll show as pause and play rapidly for both but there are occasions with my dad’s side it won’t even show on my dash like a connection issue. I’ve recently updated the app today on my side and seems to be working again but will have to check with my dad if he’s seeing the same.

PLEX is forcing more people to keep paying a “one time fee” more than once on all levels of subscriptions.
We all just gotta report it to the better business bureau.
Classic updates into a bait and switch.
