Remote Quality setting is used when streaming locally

Under Settings > Video in the Roku app, I have Local Quality set to Original. Whenever I play a video, though, the video gets converted to the quality set under Settings > Video > Remote Quality. I have checked the Plex server dashboard to confirm that the video is being served locally, not over the internet.

The Plex web player does have the same issue when I have home streaming set to Use recommended settings.

I am reproducing this issue at 12:50 PM MST with remote logging turned on in the Roku app. I am logged in with the username Darandos.

The problem seems to be that I have DNS rebind protection turned on on my router: Local server limited to remote quality?

Yes, if you have that issue, then the connection actually goes out of your internet and back so it will appear to be a remote connection. You need to solve that first.
