Hey all,
I have just setup one of my old RPI's in the spare bedroom and discovered that the cheap-ass TV in there doesn't support CEC. :) So, I'm looking for suggestions for the simplest/cheapest remote I can get for an RPi.
I'm assuming some form/version of a USB-IR receiver + MCE remote, but I see plenty on eBay, so I'd prefer some recommendations of known-working options.

I don't have a 'simple' option as CEC was too simple for me. I wanted something that could duplicate most of the keyboard shortcuts available in Rasplex.
I like this. It is a nice, small MCE remote with plenty of keys. It comes with an IR receiver, but if you want something nicer, buy this if you have a clear case and aesthetics is important. :)
I have a thread open with the modified XML files that will allow you to map the bottom keys to some other useful functions, but 95% of the keys work 'out of the box' with Rasplex.

Works well, nice shape. All the buttons you'll want to use with Rasplex do work, but there are a lot I never touch. Didn't need drivers (just plug in and start using). I just put the receiver on the top of my TV.
