Is it possible for me to remotely upload content onto my PLEX server when I am geographically distant from it? And I mean, like in another state or country, not just down the block or in a different area of my house.

I have an SFTP set up to a specific location within my home network. I don’t have Plex looking to this location, but would be easy enough to add that folder to a library if I wanted. Naturally, you are limited by your upload speed at your remote location, your download speed at your home, and the speed of whatever you are uploading to, hard drive, NAS, etc.
There is no functionality built into Plex to upload any content.
Plex is simply looking at what is on the hard disk.
How it gets onto the hard disk, is outside of Plex’s focus.
You could install the GDrive (or similar) software onto your server and let it synchronise one folder on your server with one folder on your GDrive.
Then you could upload content to GDrive from wherever you are. The GDrive software back at home would then fetch those files and download them to the server.
