Removal of friends from sharing error

I have read and tried other methods as defined in other similar threads, without success.

I share my Plex server to multiple friends, but when I try to remove them I get, There was a problem removing this friend. Message.
Also (don’t know if it’s related) click edit and I’m not showing as sharing anything, yet on the friends list, the same friends apparently are been shared 46 libraries.
Also other friends are shown to be sharing all random amounts of libraries (they are all shared all libraries. So for example friend 1, 71 libraries. Friend 2. 117 libraries. Friend 3. 123 libraries.

So how do I,

  1. remedy the error in number of shared libraries listed.
  2. remove friends that I want to remove.

I am using windows Plex Media Server, fully updated to latest as is all windows updates (Windows 7 Pro)

Start by going into your account and remove all old server instances.
https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/pms

Don’t remove the currently used server!

WOW. I can’t believe it was as simple as that. Simply removing an old server. All shares are now equal amount as they should be, also removing friends is a simple click on remove.
