OK, I see that Plugins have been completely removed from Plex Server now. I had probably 20 or so plugins installed, which appear to still be sitting in the plugins directory on my Synology NAS.
Based on my reading, it would appear that to officially “uninstall” them, all I need to do is delete everything in the Plug-ins folder (/Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins)? I just want to make sure that there isn’t something in that folder that I shouldn’t delete. If that folder was used for only 3rd party plugins, can i just delete the whole “Plug-ins” folder itself along with everything in it?
Thanks for the info everyone. I’ve removed everything inside the Plug-ins folder except for four things, as I was unsure about them. One was the Services.bundle as was stated above that it should stay. Two of the other three are what I would assume to be classified as metadata agents, so I’m not sure if they should stay or not. I don’t remember ever installing any custom agents, but it could have been so long ago that I just don’t remember. The third, I don’t know what it would be classified as…
The other 3 are: Discogs.bundle, OpenMovieDatabase.bundle, and LibraryUpdater.bundle. As stated before, these are located in /Plex Media Server/Plug-ins. There is another folder (/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support) which appears to contain the agent plugins, so not sure if the ones in the Plug-ins folder are necessary? Again, I just want to be sure before I go trashing things.
