This is supposed to be Beta but I am on the normal channel and got the update. When the update came through it deleted all plug ins in the plug ins folder. When I put them back plex is no longer recognizing the plugins
In general, Plugins are a thing of the past. Discontinuation of Plugins, Watch Later, Recommended, and Cloud Sync
Only ‘tools’ or ‘metadata agents’-type of plugins are going to work from now on. But all plugins which are supposed to add media content won’t.
You can still find the settings menu of ‘tools’-type plugins under Settings - Server - Manage - Plugins (last menu item at the bottom).
The settings of ‘metadata agents’ can still be found under
Settings - Server - Agents
Plex is not deleting plugin-bundles from the folder, unless you have added them to the wrong folder. (You must use the Plugins folder inside the Plex data folder), not the one in the ‘programs’ folder.
Thank you you were very much correct that I had put it in the wrong folder. I am using plugins to try to get subtitles for my wife without having to search for each one. Thanks for your help.
