Hi all,
I just want to display the elements in my library without those corresponding to the collections.
In the selector, there is three items, Films, Collections and Folders, so why the Films item does not display only the films ?!
Thanks
Kévin

you can do this by set “collections” to “disabled” in the advanced settings of your library.
the default setting for inline collections is to hide the items which are in a collection – so if you have a bunch of James Bond movies, you could bundle them in a single record/item in your library instead of having them all over the place.
The collection display options are:
Is it possible to apply this setting on android?
I have collections set to “hide items which are in a collection” but on the Plex app on my Sony android TV it still shows both the collection and the individual movies, which makes it a mess.
I can’t locate any options in the app to change this though?
What server and client versions are you using exactly?
Also… are you using the Plex for Android TV client or that from the former Opera store?
Server version 3.95.2
Unsure about the Android TV Client, it was pre-installed (Sony Bravia)
I just looked it up - Version on Sony Bravia is: 7.16.0.10517 (2e560940)
This setting is only effective if you are sorting the library by movie title.
Any other sorting criteria will disable the collections.
OK Thanks. I’ll give that a shot.
Yahtzee. That was the issue. It was sorted by release date. As soon as I reverted it to sort by title it resolved the issue. Many thanks!
