Is there a way to remove commercials from existing recordings (not skip, but remove)?

I have not found a way yet, but would love the option to āoptimizeā or what not and ask the server to remove/mark commercials in existing recordings to help minimize space.
I used to run ComSkip but it has not been great for me so I decided to stop using that and just store it all, but wanted to try out the Plex option which seems quite good so far.
