I have a movie that I deleted from the drive, but it still shows up in the library. Says UNAVAILABLE, of course, but I can’t seem to get rid of the movie in the library.
A brief back history on the movie…
I originally had a 1080p version of the movie. And, it was part of a COLLECTION. I then got a 4K version of the movie. So, I deleted the 1080p version, and just moved the 4K version into the folder. The COLLECTION was still showing the 1080p, but showing unavailable. So, then I just removed the movie from the collection, and just removed the movie altogether from movie folder. The movie is gone, removed. But, in the player, both versions still show up. I’ve done SCAN LIBRARY FILES, EMPTY TRASH, and CLEAN BUNDLES. I cannot seem to make this movie disappear from the library. Any ideas?
Long Shot: This happened to me once when there was an orphaned folder that I no longer used still referenced in the “Add Folders” section of the library. When I removed the orphaned folder, , the movie that was “stuck” got cleared with the next scan.
Thanks for the suggestion. I put all my movies in a folder of the same name. And all the movie folders go into one main folder. So, let’s say the movie file WONDER WOMAN (2017).MPG goes into WONDER WOMAN (2017) folder. And THAT folder, along with other movies, go into my PLEX MOVIES folder. The PLEX MOVIES folder is what I add to the library, so it grabs everything inside.
With that said, when I delete a movie, like the listed example, I delete the WONDER WOMAN (2017) folder. In the past, scanning the library and emptying trash would remove the movie from the library. But now, after testing with more movies, anything I delete will still show up in the library. Including the example above. I’d hate to have to rebuild the library again from scratch… with close to 5,000 movies.
