I recently moved my Plex server to a new machine. One of the TV shows for some reason still had the old location for it so I clicked “empty trash” and it went away. When I re-scan the library it doesn’t show up for some reason.
I have ensured the permissions are the same as the other files that do show up. Is there some cache I could clear maybe?
Going to bet it doesn’t follow the naming schema and is either ignored or flagged as a duplicate
Before I switched machines it showed up fine so I assume the naming scheme is fine. Is there a way to see what is ignored or flagged as a duplicate?
Try clean bundles under
Server Name -> Manage -> Troubeshooting -> Clean Bundles
and rescan. Naming also could be an issue.
Im going to argue this. If it was matched with an old version of the file scanning agent, it may not re-match.
Please post the exact file names and path to the folder.

This happened with two specific shows that had old incorrect paths still from when I transferred to the new machine.
Unfortunately, this didn’t work.
And the naming problem you said didn’t exist does. You dont have a season number or episode number in the filename IE S01E08
I don’t include that in any of my media and I have a lot.

If you want to save yourself a lot of time I would recommend using archive.tinymediamanager.org and use:
Episode format:
${showTitle} - S${seasonNr2}E${episodeNr2} - ${title}
Folder format:
${showTitle} (${showYear}) {tvdb-${tvShow.ids.tvdb}}/Season ${seasonNr2}
as the new name format.

Not sure how they matched before but I did update the naming convention but I just had 01, 02, 03 at the beginning of each file and that worked.
