I see plex uses comskip to skip commercials on DVR recordings which is great. I have been a longtime comskip user. However, I have moved on from OTA broadcast and only care about my backed up Movie and TV content. What I am interested though is removal of inappropriate content from my Movies and TV shows by supplying an edl file with frame markers to skip certain scenes. I will provide a manually edited edl file for a movie. Is this possible with the Plex player to automatically skip such content? If so how can i do it? I dont have DVR setup .
