Removing orphaned server from account

I’ve looked at old posts, but none of those seem to fix the issue I have.

I have an old plex server on my account that died a couple years ago and shows up as a server, but doesn’t show up in the Authorized Device list so I can’t delete the server.

For example… I have a server called plex2 that works great. The old server is called plex, and that’s the one I want to remove. Usually I just ignore it, but that was the server that had my “Live TV” configured on and now I want to use “Live TV” on my working server, but whatever I try I can’t get that option to display for the working server.

I’m almost to a point where I want to delete my acount completely and start from scratch.

Any ideas?

Chris

@cskowen

I am looking at your Plex account. Only “Plex2” exists.

There are two things I know of which will cause a deleted server to be 'stuck" in the browser –

  1. Pinned (Pinning a library section and now, later, the library section doesn’t exist)
  2. Browser cache

In most cases, Unpinning the dangling section(s) clears everything

Correct. I only see Plex2 on my account too, but it doesn’t matter where I log into my plex server (browser on the same PC, different browser on the same PC, plexx app on my Android phone, different Firesticks, etc) I always see the Plex server. I don’t have anything pinned.

Are you referring to the items in the lower half of your screen shot?

This is not a “Plex Server” per se. It is media available for streaming from plex.tv
If you don’t like that, you can disable it for your account at https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/online-media-sources

Heh. Well now I feel stupid. :slight_smile: That’s what I get for naming my first server “Plex”. Thank you for the clarification.
