Request - Server side disable/enable subtitles on demand

Please allow server owners to disable/enable subtitles on demand “feature” or at least fix it so each user only sees his downloaded subtitles only.

  1. Subtitles downloaded by any user are available to all users on the server
  2. Most subtitles in my language are translated with google translate and are garbage or out of sync.
  3. Some Samsung TV have issues playing content with certain subtitles on demand. My guess wrong encoding of subtitles file or invalid characters. I am tired of calls from my family on this matter.

Over a year ago, I posted the same thing over a year ago. I suspect your request will gain as much traction as mine. :frowning_face:

I always include subtitles, which are in sync, and work properly 'cause they are encoded properly in UTF-8. No fuss, no muss. Don’t want, need or even want anyone to see that option.
