Parental controls are definitely one. I have separate folders for more "mature" content, so folder filters would be one. Beyond that, being able to filder based on rating for stuff that has a content match within a folder would be great.Especially if you could set that at a user level.
When doing fast-forward, a screenshot preview would definitely be nice.
Channel support would also be great. I want to be lazy and not have to open those apps on the XB1 if I already have them set up on Plex. ;)
Different view, sometimes I like to read the synopsis of episodes when scrolling through the list

Transcoding is almost entirely going to be under the control of Microsoft. The XB1 only supports so many formats. Hopefully the update to the Media Player app on the XB1 will improve native support. We already know it's adding native support for the MKV container soon. I really like the effect, because the focus is then on most important thing on the page (the text content) but some nice art is still visible which also adds to the experience, but I agree that further customisation options are always good :)
I’d like to see the option to have more posters visible on the screen with the “browse” option.
Instead of two rows, have 3 or 4. That would make it easier to scroll through large collections and limit the number of times you have to say “next page.”

I'm in two minds about it, on some backdrops it looks awesome and in others it just looks like I've used a really low-res image. Like you say the more customisation the better!
Would be nice to have an App Channel for the OneGuide, could actually have a bunch, one for on deck tv, on deck movies, recently aired tv, recently aired movies, watch later, recently added, etc.
First just want to say thanks a lot for the Xbox One Plex app... been looking forward to this for awhile. It looks really good.
Only request I have is more dependent on Microsoft than Plex, but hoping with your partnership this will happen. All I use Plex for is to play my Blu-ray backups, untouched M2TS containers with HD audio tracks in place (and often subtitles). My PMS is certainly not powerful enough to transcode these so it greatly limits the clients I can use. Xbox One can obviously play Blu-rays with its playback app, so hope MS can make all these codecs and such available in the APIs for you to use. Until then I unfortunately cannot use this particular app... so more than any feature, I just need codec support.
a good thing would be to have the menu on the top bar! to give us access to different sections on plex very quickly instead of having to go back and fourth

I have noticed a few things with the Plex app. When it starts a TV show in the top left corner the back icon and words are displayed twice and always slightly overlapped.
What I would like to change:
1 - The voice commands tend to hide the artwork of the film or TV show you are trying to watch. Perhaps bring the "Select 1" to the bottom of the artwork.
2 - Change the "Select 1" to the actual title of the film or TV show.
3 - If you are watching a TV show, can we get continuous play so one episode after the another.
My request would be to include the music library and channels in the xbox one app. With it being only for local Video content currently, it's pretty much useless to me since I use my plex server 90% of the time as a way to stream my music library and the other 10% of the time to watch channels. I was able to successfully load on the xbox one app and get it to find my server after upgrading to the recommended server version. So once the app is updated with the music support I will be a happy camper. For now, I will stick with my Chromecast solution to stream music to my media center.
This is less a direct Plex app feature than a negotiation with Microsoft, but I'd like to see an option to launch directly to the Plex app when turning on the Xbox One. There is currently an option to launch directly to "TV" on Xbox One (also known as the HDMI Input on the box). Be nice to be able to extend that functionality to support different apps.
