I saw the delete function mentioned very early in the thread. Is there any update on this? It would be nice to be able to delete a video when done watching. Great app and it was so easy to convert over to as I've been a long time Media Center user.
Let's try to improve basic playback before new features etc are added. Though I realize many of these issues depend on MS updating the XB1 OS. Hopefully the 1410 update will be released to the public this week (and then the 1411 update for us testers).
1. 24p support.
2. Less transcoding and more Direct Play/Stream (i.e. DTS audio).
3. Plex app remote control.4. Skip forward/back.

In addition to these the ability to search. You can skip to a letter sure and browse away but no actual search function, that I can see.
When looking at a tv episode, I'd like to be able to press the left and right triggers to go to the previous and next episode. I dont know why I think this should work, but I do it constantly expecting to be able to get to the next episode of the series.
Edit: I think its because of the following: With all the cool smart suggestions Plex on Xbox One places front and center, I am often deep linked directly to a specific episode without stepping through the app's hierarchy. This means I cant easily navigate 'up' from an episode to the series. Instead, I'd like to be able to at least traverse the series at the level I'm at.

Here's alot of bugs that doesn't want me to buy anothe Plex Pass untill it works. And I dont understand how you can raise the price for an beta? But I'm not complain. For now I'm having a great Plex as mediacenter on my Mac Mini. But I would like to have it all on OXBOX ONE.

Many movies and subtitles especially none english subs are out of sync.
• Be able to do an actual fast forward/backward. Not only a 2X/4X78X/16X. Do a 10 minutes skip instead.
For now the paddles on the x.o remote are useless. Set the 10 minutes jump there.
I love the Xbox One app. Great work so far, guys. The killer features for me are voice control and the beautiful interface. Having Plex on the same machine as everything else is a big plus too.
Things I’d like to see in future:
- .SRT subtitle support (I heard that might be a compatibility issue from Microsoft’s end?)
- A different way of visually indicating voice control. I usually navigate by voice and this currently shades/obscures the Plex artwork too much.
- Channels – if that’s possible. I’d love having access to iPlayer, Apple trailers, etc through Plex on the Xbox One.
- Skip forward/back using the shoulder buttons. Yes please.
- Ability to customise the top-level menus on the Plex home screen, whether that’s done within the app or on the Media Server.
- Innovative Kinect features. Can it automatically pause when viewers get up and leave, for example? What else could we imagine? (Always optional, of course – turn Kinect features on/off in the Plex preferences.)
I realise all of those have been mentioned already – just adding my support.
I have a bug to report as well – I use my Plex queue to watch YouTube and Vimeo clips which I’ve bookmarked during the day. Yesterday they all stopped working – I get a ‘cannot connect’ error message. They’re not playing via the Mac Plex app either, so I suspect this is a YouTube issue rather than a Xbox one.
Vimeo support in general has been somewhat spotty. Is that something we can improve?
Love Plex, like the Xbox One app. I think it is a good start but obviously needs improvement, hence beta status. I agree with a lot of suggestions that have already been made, such as:
- Better native video support
- Better filters
- Improved home screen browsing
I am assuming that Plex Home will be coming to the app eventually, and wanted to make a suggestion for when that happens. Since the Xbox can recognize and log in multiple users at a time, it would be great if the Plex app could have multiple users logged in at once. This way, when I sit down and watch a movie with my wife it will update both of our watch histories. However, when she wants to sit down and watch a show or movie when I'm not there it will update her history, but not mine and vice versa.
Firstly love the app, used popcorn and Yamj for years and this is like a breath of fresh air

Off the top of my head:
Direct Play Support for .AVI files. XB1's Media player supports this, while Plex transcodes this content on my NAS.
DTS support (I admit this is probably more an MS issue than Plex).
The option to select previous or next episode during playback via LB/RB buttons.
Another option to select any season/episode of a show during episode playback of that show, so you can drill-into season/episode during playback. The BBC iPlayer app (released today in the UK) has this option and its very nice.

Dunno if this one is possible, but it would be nice to have the option to download (or stream from YouTube?) the trailer for the next episode of a show when the current episode has completed playback.
A spoiler option which hides the synopsis for unwatched episodes. If selected then this would disable the 'watch trailer for next episode' option as well.

My plasma is highly susceptible to image retention, a couple of my feature requests relate to that:

Screensaver support or a dimmer, similar to PHT. The Xbox slightly dims the screen after 10 minutes of inactivity but I think this is actually quite a long time period in terms of causing IR issues and it's not very dark.
- Hide or change the opacity of the Plex logo after a certain period of time. This will definitely get burned into my display. I believe Microsoft may be adjusting this in a future Xbox update for the 'X' logo that shows in the top right, please see one related thread here. As mentioned above the default screensaver takes 10 minutes to come on which is causing some issues.(I guess this doesn't matter too much if the dimmer is effective)
- Better support for Direct Play (I know we rely heavily on Microsoft for this)
- Channels
- Better subtitle support (.srt without transcoding)

One thing I’d love is if your watching a tv series that it would play the next episode automatically just like Netflix.
I’d also love it if you could group movies in the folders for example all all James Bond movies under James Bond or all Harry Potter movies under the Harry Potter banner click that it opens a folder containing all the harry potter movies. I know people hate the comparison but I’ve seen this feature on XBMC and would love to see it on Xbox one.
And lastly maybe a few skins or themes if you want to call them that. If that’s even possible I don’t know but I’m thinking maybe the option to go to the settings and select download theme/skin.

I wonder that the Plex Xbox One App doesn't have Photos Library support
I can understand that Music is already covered by Xbox Music but a photo's browser is a much needed feature with same kind of browsability of Movies.
This will solve the never solved problem about how to share photo with parents on the living room. At least in mine :)
Actually I've found Xbox music to be completely useless for us Mac users it's totally windows orientated and I think being able to stream my music through Plex would be great.

Plex for Xbox One is awesome, but some alteration would be better,
1.Home Video browsing by folder. It's a given function in the Web App, why missing in Xbox One App?
2.Local subtitle support without video transcoding!!
The feature I want most, easily, is the ability to view my movie extras on Xbox One that I've ripped from my blu ray discs. They look great on Windows using the web player, but they of course aren't showing up at all on Xbox One. It's a bummer because I usually consume my content on either my Xbox One or my iPad/iPhone (which also doesn't show my extras!) and this really downgrades the experience for me. :(
