… i haven’t needed to do this in awhile… but the internet went down and now i can’t access anything… even trying to login locally using IP or through the jail i get “unable to reach plex” i know plex used to not require a BS internet connection to connect on your own LOCAL NETWORK!!! Am i seriously going to have to set up a jellyfish or emby server just to have things local… seriously WTF plex… I’m seriously regretting buying a life time of this…
Just add it in
If you’re out camping – you probably don’t , but not always, don’t want auth.
If you’re in a dorm – you need auth to protect your server
Everyone is different.

I live in Pa. Internet (and power) go out due to winter storms or idiot drivers on a regular basis
It depends on how you configured it. Sounds like you configured it for needing internet authentication. It’s the default because it’s safer for those who don’t know.
