Does this only happen after a windows update? What is you just restart the computer on your own?
I’m wondering if when windows does the restart of it isn’t shutting down PMS properly. Instead of the registry trick, shut down PMS, check task manager and shut down anything else Plex related, then relaunch PMS. If tar works then it’s Windows causing the issue. Restarting your computer manually after the windows restart might also fix this.
I basically almost never restart this PC and it usually only restarts when there is a windows update. I haven’t tried restarting manually. I will see what happens when the next windows update comes through or if no one is using plex, I’ll hop on there and do a manual restart and see what happens.
If it is Windows causing the issue, then what should I do?
I’ll just wait and see before we go down the “what if” road. Thanks for the suggestion, I didn’t really think of that, that windows could be causing the issue.
