Restarting playback after being stopped/paused restarts from beginning

The last couple of releases I’ve noticed more and more that restarting playback is starting from the beginning again.

In my case, some log info pasted below, I was trying to watch a recorded episode of James Cordon on my NVidia Shield and when I tried to restart playback it started again from the beginning.

  • Start watching the episode and let it play for 5 or 10 minutes. Skip ahead and let it get playing again…
  • Press the back button to back out of the episode.
  • Start the episode again (expect to be asked to resume). However, the episode starts from the beginning instead of asking to resume.

I am having the same issue. not for all movies, but some. My logs are below:

@dave_ross you need to go to that address in your web browser and copy the logs to a txt file.

Thanks @BigWheel , how far up the backlog is it? When could we expect a fix?

@BigWheel - Here is another log from my Shield player where I was playing Tom & Jerry, recorded from TV and is located internally to the shield. I was playing it in the morning and at about 7:46 stopped playback, then at 9:59 I attempted to ‘resume’ playback.

I have attached the logs from both the Shield player as well as the server side log files.
